6/18 Building adjoining the south-
west corner of Elemore Grange
Barn

Possibly a timber factory. Late C18 or early C19. Dressed sandstone, chamfered
ashlar quoins and moderately-pitched Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 irregularly-
spaced bays. Right bay has first floor hoist. All openings have square lintels and
projecting sills. One-bay left return has C20 vehicle entrance and a pigeon cote
above with 2 horizontal rows of openings and continuous alighting bands. 6 king-post
trusses support hipped roof with plain close eaves.

Interior: altered for later agricultural use. Ground floor has several small rooms
linked by a corridor. Upper floor consists of a single large room partitioned at
the south end by a stone cross-wall with a 2-storey hall beyond.
