Simple town chapel, 1803. Hammer dressed stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 3-
bay facade. Outer bays have doorways with monolithic jambs with single-light window
over to 1st floor with plain stone surround. Central bay has tripartite window with
single light window over to 1st floor. 2-bay return has similar single light
windows. All have altered glazing. Right hand return wall has small window to
gable apex. A gabled organ loft wing is built out from rear wall with round headed
windows.
Interior retains gallery, with early C19 panels, to 3 sides, splayed across corners.
Some late C19 refurbishing to provide access to organ loft. Gallery retains box
setting, lower seating, renewed late C19 when the ceiling was remodelled. Whiteley
family pew remains on east side. Furnishings: Panelled pulpit set on rostrum in
front of organ loft. Good set of early to mid C19 wall tablets.
