Canal bridge and lock. Circa 1770 with minor C19 repair work. Red brick (English bond). The bridge has a single segmental arch with stone quoins and dripstone; the stone coped parapet slopes considerably from right to left. The lock lies to the rear. Bridge, lock and associated cottage (q.v.) form a picturesque group. The Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal opened through Wombourne parish in 1770, the engineer was James Brindley.
