Small house. Late C16/early C17 and C17, extended C20. Timber framing with brick
and plastered infill; coursed squared limestone; old plain-tile roof with brick
stacks. 2-bay plan increased to 3 bays and further extended. One storey plus
attic. Earlier bays of front, to left, retain some old framing, but C17 added
bay is in stone, as is left gable wall which returns to front and rear; C20
casements and dormers; reconstructed oven projection. Roof has stacks to left of
centre and to right gable. Rear retains sections of old framing and has a small
C20 extension. Interior: large open fireplace with rebuilt brick jambs; small
bedroom fireplace with curved moulded-brick back; some heavy joists; straight
windbraces. Included for group value.
