Almshouses. Dated 1851. Rubble brought to courses, freestone dressings, fish
scale slate roofs, ornate clay ridge tiles. 10 units in a U plan. 2 storeys,
8 windows, 1 each in projecting end wings; ground floor has 3-light cusped
windows under labels between 5 gabled porches with moulded pointed arches with
drip moulds with carved stops and decorative plaques, wings have canted pitched
roof bays; first floor windows rise as eaves dormer gables, in wing gables
2-light windows below trefoils, between are scrolls which read "Built and
endowed by Mrs. Mary Anne Jones" and "Anno Domini MDCCCLI".
