Taken 27/10/25 from the North. Owner spoke with me, Cottage is Jacobean. Chequer Tree Farm, giving is name for the locality and the road, is after a Tree introduced by the Romans. Also known as a Wild Service Tree, Scientific Name Sorbus Torminalis. The Roman's used to make a mead like drink from the fruits, known as chequers.
