Street Lane Farmhouse.

Milestone: c1820. Buff sandstone slab with a shaped top has a
cast-iron plate reading "FROM LONDON 173 MILES FROM MACCLESFIELD 6
MILES TO STOCKPORT 6 MILES".
Erected on refurbished Stockport-Macclesfield turnpike. Similar
examples in Prestbury (q.v.) and Poynton (2).
