Former Manor House, rebuilt in early 1870's by Lord Melbourne in C18 style. Adjoins
No 25 on south side. Red brick with stone bands and lintels. Plinth with stone
capping. Slate roof. 3 storeys. 4 windows, sashes with glazing bars. Centre
2 bays slightly advanced with asymmetrically placed pediment (over 2nd south window).
Modern shop window at south corner. Rusticated stuccoed doorcase. Edward VII
stayed here in 1873 when Prince of Wales.
