House, now shop. C17-timber-framed and plastered house, part of the range including No 1, Silent Street. Altered in the C18 and later. 2 storeys, 2 window range, double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in flush cased frames. The ground storey has fine early C20 shopfronts. Roofs tiled.
INTERIOR has chamfered ceiling beams. A single room with extensive eighteenth century raised and fielded panelling. Extensive fifteenth century brick undercroft with groined vaults.
Nos l9 to 47 (odd) form a group with Nos 1 to 9 (odd) Silent Street.
