Early-mid C19 pair, each 2 storeys, attic and basement, 1 window in main block
and 1 in set back outer entrance bay. Slated mansard with dormers and central
stack. Yellow brick. Stucco frieze, cornice and blocking course. Gauged flat
brick arches to 1st floor casements (No 9 modernised). 4-light ground floor casement
windows in round bows with entablature and ornamental cast iron balcony rails above.
No 11 has low ogee curved lead canopy on wood posts. 5 steps to 4-panel (No 9)
and 2 long panel (No 11) doors in moulded architraves within pedimented porches.
Some detail lost from No 9 porch. Plaque at 1st floor level: BRIGHTON VILLAS.

Nos 9 & 11 form a group with Nos 5, 7 & 13 to 19 which are of local interest.
