Terraced town house. 1836,attributed to Thomas Cubitt. Stuccoed
brick with slate roof; Italianate facade. 4 storeys, basement and
attic. Broad large scale front. 3 windows wide. Rusticated
arcaded ground floor with Doric columned porch to right, semicircular
arched ground floor windows with rustication struck to arches. Upper
floor windows have architraves, those on 1st floor with consoled
dentil pediments, the 3rd floor windows set between the console
brackets supporting the boldly modelled cornice with blocking course;
chamfered quoins to upper floors; entablature of porch carried
across ground floor with scrolled console brackets supporting
balustraded balcony; guilloche moulded plat band to 2nd floor. Cast
iron area railings. Interior has Grecian detailing, best preserved in
staircase,overlaid with Rococo later C19 decor in grand manner .
Top lit enfilade of ground floor rooms beyond staircase hall, fine
reset mid C18 chimney piece .
