--1-- One of the Belvoir Angels headstones by a Hickling craftsman. Small, rectangular slate with 2 round-faced winged angels, -Here lies the Body of Robert Bell Gardener; who for his capacity in his buisness, and fidelity to the Noble Family he had the honour to Serve, has left a commendable example. He died March the 7th 1728 aged 38 years-. (Compare the epitaph of Mr Bell the Gardener with that of Mr Deacock (21st in the series south of the nave. He also died age 38). (Photo Oct 2012).
