at SJ 9383 7375

Parish boundary stone : dated 1849. Equilateral triangular sectioned
sandstone block with domed top. North face has well curved H (for
Hurdsfield) 1849. South-east face has R (for Rainow) 1849 and the west
face M (for Macclesfield) 1849.

Similar stones of the same date are found in Hurdsfield and
Macclesfield Forest. Part of this stone is in Rainow and the former
Macclesfield Urban District.
