Parish boundary stone : dated 1849. Ashlar sandstone block with a
semi-circular head has a well cut "M1849" on the south side and
"H1849" on north side, marking the Macclesfield/Hurdsfield boundary.

An identical stone stands at SJ 9316 7373. Part of this stone is in
the former Macclesfield Urban District.
