Public House. Dated 1651. Brick with pantile roof. 2 storey west facade
in 3 bays. C20 central door flanked by one 3-light C20 cross casement right
and left. Platband between storeys. 2 leaded 3-light casements to first
floor. Gabled roof. North gable with single storey hipped extension.
Tumbling in north gable head and datestone TF 1651 above 2-light leaded
casement. South gable with external stack : rendered plinth is stepped up
into twin flues, the space between flues bricked. Gabled cross wing to rear
of one storey with C19 fenestration. Twin flued ridge stack. Interior.
Ground of main range now one room. 4 bridging beams with sunk quadrant
mouldings terminating in tongue stops. One bridging beam is boxed, another
partly encased in partition wall. Wall plate over window to right of door
also with sunk quadrant mouldings. Ceiling joists with sunk quadrant edges.
