Low Lodge, with associated gate piers and wall

Lodge to former Kippax Park, with associated gate piers and wall. Early C19.
Sandstone ashlar, slate roof. Gothick style. Single storey and 3 bays, the
outer bays canted forwards slightly; symmetrical; central Tudor-arched
doorway deeply recessed in a wide outer arch of the same shape, which has a
hoodmould from the centre of which a slender curved cresting rises to a
carved crocket above the cornice; on each side, a window of 2 arched lights
with hollow spandrels and hoodmould; moulded cornice to embattled parapet
carried round the whole and stepped up over the door; low-pitched hipped roof
with central chimney stack. Return walls have 3-light windows matching those
at the front. Low screen walls each side of the entrance to the drive,
concave in plan, with square piers at each end, and 2 other piers, now
fallen, which formerly carried side gates.
