Terraced town houses. 1904-05 by Niven and Wigglesworth. Portland stone
faced; slate roof. Domestic Georgian-Baroque Revival. 4 storeys,
basement and dormered mansard. 3 windows wide. Square headed doorway to
right in architrave with mermaid figured keystone, under bracketed
cornice-cum-balcony with iron balustrade in front of 1st floor window
above,which is architraved with cornice on female head figured brackets.
3 storey canted bay window to left has rusticated ground floor with carved
keystone over central sash; the 1st and 2nd floor central windows of bay
in architraves and with head figured brackets to cornices, matching window
over doorway. 3 eared architrave windows to 3rd floor; all sashes with
glazing bars. Plat band over ground floor; cornice and blocking course
finishing off canted bay; sharply profiled crowning cornice and blocking
course. 3 corniced dormers have panels at each side. Cast iron area
railings.
