Canal road bridge. c1831. William Crosley engineer. Coursed sandstone blocks with ashlar dressings.
Horseshoe/eliptical arch with voussoirs and a prominent keystone that rises to a chamfered band
below the parapet. Walls terminate in squared piers: parapet has coping. C20 stone steps adjacent also
timber balustrading. Pipeline across west "face". Fine tooling to vault. NB One in a series of fine
bridges (and milestones) on the Macclesfield Canal.
