ST 69 NE HAMFALLOW MOBLEY

4/237 Former stable building immediately
to south east of Mobley Farmhouse

GV II


Former stable, in agricultural use. C18. Brick on high rubble
stone plinth, pantile roof. Single storey and loft. On north
side, left to right, 2 segmental brick arches for small leaded and
partially blocked 2-light casement and plank door, second plank
door under wide timber lintel, 2 small windows also with timber
lintels, one window partially blocked and furthest right in blocked
doorway. East end has pitch hole. South side has 2 small gables,
that to left with pitch hole, that to right with external brick
stair up door and with arched opening below, probably a former
kennel. South side has mostly brick walls, only limited amount of
rubble walling. Included mainly for group value with Mobley
Farmhouse (q.v.).
