House. Mid to late C18 with C19 alterations. Dated rainwater head '1832'.
Local gault brick and coursed limestone rubble with limestone dressings.
Collyweston stone slated, and Welsh slated roofs. Two storeys and and attics
main range with one storey and attic ranges to rear forming a L-plan. End
stacks, tumbled brick parapet gables with moulded brick corbels; moulded
wooden eaves cornice. Central doorway with stone step, four-panelled C20
door, and Tuscan pedimented wooden doorcase. Two flanking bay windows with
dentil enrichment to cornices. Two first floor tripartite hung sash windows
in flat brick arches and round head window above door. Rain water head dated
1832 on north-east gable wall. Interior: Original details open string
staircase of four flights with moulded hand rail and turned balusters; half
panelling to ground floor rooms and complete panelling to south-west first
floor room and shouldered chimney piece, six panelled doors and moulded wooden
architrave, shuttered first floor windows. Cast iron garden boundary railings
and matching gates and piers.
