House. Late C18. Red brick, Flemish bond, headers well burnt, with ashlar stone dressings; plain clay tile roof with
simple gables; brick end chimney stacks. 2 storeys with attics, 3-wide bays. Stone rubble plinth, rusticated quoins,
eaves cornice: 12-pane sash windows in architraved surrounds, upper bays 1 and 3, and also to lower bay 3 but
doubled; to upper bay 2 small matching semi- circular head window with architrave and keystone; to lower bay 1 pair
C19 glazed doors flanked by slim sidelights all set in an architrave; to bay 2 a wide 4 flush panel door set in
semi-circular sub-arch with impost, architrave to arch with triple keystone over radial glazed fanlight, all flanked by
reeded Corinthian pilasters with entablature over and full pediment, rather high in proportion. Interior not seen.
This building formerly served as the Post Office.
