House C17 timber-framed refronted c1760 in red brick with iron slag and stone
dressings. Hipped plain tile roof. L plan. 2 storeys. Main front 3 windows with
projecting pedimented centre, dentilled brick to pediment and eaves. Black iron slag
blocks to plinth, quoins in centre and outer angles and raised bands over ground and
first floors. All windows Venetian with gauged brick arches, stone lintels to side
lights and stone fluted keystones with cornices. Glazing bar windows with
intersecting tracery to arched heads. Central door is treated similarly, with side
lights and arched head. 6 panel door. Lunette in pediment also with glazing bars.
Rear wing has ridge stack and timber-framing exposed on West side, 4 x 6 panels some
of wattle and daub.
