II

House. Early C19, dated 1839 and 1928. Rendered and painted.
Hipped slate roof with wide modillion cornice. West 2 storey, 3
bay front, set on a plinth with 2 rendered ridge stacks. Central
C20 porch, closed on 2 sides with cluster columns at the front
and rear. Recessed glazed door with overlight, the recess
surround being panelled. Flanked by single 2 storey canted bays
each with 3 low glazing bar sashes and 3 similar, smaller sashes
above with a similar single sash above the porch. The north side
of 7 bays has 2 rendered stacks, the left 2 bays have stone
coped parapets the right one having urns at the corners, the
left one is painted brick. Doorway in slightly projecting bay.
Recessed double door with 6 fielded panels and relief frieze
over, decorated with putti. Either side single consoles support
a cornice. Above is the inscrtiption 'TW 1839.' Flanked by
single glazing bar sashes. To the left is a projecting wing
inscribed "FEP 1928" with a single glazing bar sash, there is a
further recessed bay, with a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash
under a segmental arch. Above the doorway is a single glazing
bar sash, with 2 glazing bar sashes to the right and 3 glazing
bar sashes to the left, of differing sizes.
