GV II

House. C15 origins, C16 with C17 cross wings, extended and altered in the C19 and
C20. Timber framed, with whitewashed brick infill to rear; extensions in brick
and sandstone, some tile hanging on first floor. Plain tiled roofs, mostly gabled.
Two storeys with attics in gables. Entrance front:- Three gables to front, right
hand one set back. Two stacks between the gables to the left and end stack to
right. One 12-pane glazing bar sash window in each gable apex, one 16-pane glazing
bar sash window to first floor of each gable. 24-pane, tripartite glazing bar sash
window to ground floor centre and right. Two C20 casement windows and half-glazed
door to ground floor left. Door of six moulded panels to ground floor, right of
centre gable; under flat, shallow hood. Single storey, C20 extension to left end.
Rear:- Four framed bays, timbers exposed, with deep eaves above. Bracing exposed
on first floor, and large tile-hung gable to left end, jettied on first floor over
close studded ground floor framing. "Tudor" style door to centre.
