House, latterly 2 dwellings. Late C17 with late C16 origins, altered C20.
Timber frame, plastered. Thatched roof. 2 bays with a central stack; right
hand bay originally formed part of earlier house to right (No.1
Fairview,q.v.). 1 storey and attic. Boarded doors towards ends, a transomed
4-light part opening metal frame casement to right and a 2-light glazing bar
casement to left, two 2-light pantiled dormers. Central ridge stack. Left end
exposed plates and purlins. To rear a continuous clay lump and pantiled lean-
to outshut with a truncated stack to left. Interior: through tension bracing
in frame of small scantling, right bay retains earlier fragments with edge
halved scarf joints in wallplates.
