Public house. Late C18, with early C20 extensions. Halls of brickwork, with
some tile hanging to the 1st floor. Half-hipped tile roof; large tapered stack.
West front (of old part) of two storeys two windows. Casements. Gabled brick
porch. Larger rear extensions, in style. C20 sign illustrating a C18 cricket
match. Included for the association with early cricket, played on Broadhalfpenny
Down (opposite in an adjoining parish and district).

Due to boundary changes the above building was removed from the 42nd list in the
District of East Hampshire dated 12 March 1986.
