Public house. C17 or earlier with later alterations and additions. Timber
framed and weatherboarded. Red plain tiled roof. Central red brick chimney
stack to right range, this with plastered return. Forward left wing with roof
hipped to road and dormer to apex. 2 storeys and attics left wing, 2 storeys
right range. 1:2 window range of vertically sliding sashes. C20 plank and
muntin door to right return of left wing and left of right range. Said to
contain some original panelling and carved panels above the fireplace. RCHM 7.
