8/183 The Old Post House

GV II

House. C17, restored in C20. Timber frame of thin scantling with whitewashed brick
underbuild and infill, plain tiled hipped roof. Two storeys, three framed bays
with diagonal bracing to first floor. End stack left and ridge stack to right of
centre. Three, 3-light leaded casement windows to first floor and two ground floor
windows below. C20 sandstone rubble, pentice roofed porch to left. Wing at right
angles to rear right.
