House, now extended and divided. C16, with late C18 extension to right and C20
extension to left. Timber framed on sandstone rubble plinth, underbuilt in red
brick with tile hanging above, (swept out over ground floor); coursed stone with
some ironstone blocks and galleting to right end. Plain tiled roofs, hipped to
left and half-hipped with tile hung end to right. T-shaped plan with wing at
right angles to right. Two storeys with end stack to left and further stack to
right at junction with wing. Additional stack on right hand side. Four leaded
casement windows to first floor on main range, one further leaded casement to first
floor of wing. Four larger windows to ground floor. C20 Pentice roof porch to
ground floor left (No. 4). Plank door to left of centre (No. 3). Plank door to
right, at junction with wing (No. 2) and door in hip roofed, C20 porch (No. 1).
Single storey extension to left end and across ground floor of left hand return
front.
