Chest tomb. Dated 1807 in memory of Sarah Burrows. White marble. Chest tomb
is rectangular in plan on a moulded plinth. Flat lid with moulded edges.
Corners have fluted balusters. Ends and sides have oval panels surrounded by
radiating lines. Inscriptions on north and south sides begin in Gothic
lettering and continue in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering with some
italics. The northern inscription records the death of Sarah Burrows in 1807
and the south side inscription records the death of her husband Thomas in 1810
and their daughter Sarah (died 1843) is commemorated in the east end panel.
