TQ 55 41 SPELDHURST SPELDHURST HILL (north side), SPELDHURST 12/567 Row of Fry headstones approx 4m east of the chancel of the Church of St Mary the Virgin GV II

Row of 6 headstones. All are C18 in memory of various members of the Fry family. All are upright sandstone slabs standing between 200-750mm high. All have shaped heads, 2 carved with winged cherub heads (one with a pair), 4 have crossed arrows and one has crossbones. All except one have fielded panels. All are inscribed with Roman serif upper and lower case lettering. Most of the names are barely legible and the dates are buried.
