Detached cottage. Early C19. Ham stone rubble, coursed, ashlar quoins and some brick dressings; plain clay tile roof
with stone slate base courses between high stepped coped gables suggesting former thatch; brick end chimney stacks. Two
storeys, 3 bays. Horizontal-bar casement windows, 3-light to outer bays and 2-light to upper centre; upper windows have
timber lintols and lower have gauged brick flat arches: to lower bay 2 a 6-flush-panel door with top lights in deep
reveal with ashlar dressings, and flat stone hood on brackets: extensions to both sides; to north gable a single bay
extension with double Roman clay tiled roof, set lower with matching 2-light windows at each level, and boarded door to
left, all under timber lintols; to south gable a lean-to with Welsh slate roof, triangular on plan with rounded point,
with brick infill to front incorporating a further window and a boarded door: the purpose of this last additon not
known. Interior not seen. Good example of a middle class cottage of C19, probably little altered except for roof.
