Schoolroom and schoolmaster's house, now parish hall and
house. School 1869 and house "AH 1873" on date stone.
E. Sedding. Random stone with ashlar dressings, clay tile
roof and brick stacks. 4-bay school with two parallel ranges
and adjoining house with central-staircase and two storeys.
Pointed arch door with ashlar surround to master's house with
canopy above and a 3-light chamfered mullion window to
either side with plain hoodmoulds. Two similar 2-light window
on the first floor with gables above. Two large brick stacks.
School: stone plinth and quoins. Six and seven-light windows to
bays one and two with pointed arch openings and chamfered stone
mullions. Door in bay three with window above and 3-light
mullion and transom window to bay four as above. Left end has
twin gables with planted timbers and a C20 extension.
Interior has arch-braced roof trusses to main hall and an
inserted floor to the rear. Included for group value.
