On site of earlier hotel, but a complete 'Tudor' rebuild of circa 1860.
Red brick with stone quoins and 'Tudor' ornament, notably in the panels
under the windows of the 3 gabled bays. A fourth, larger gable over a
4-centred arch with ornamental spandrels. Elaborate bargeboards to all
gables. Ridge tile. Elaborate red-brick ornamental 'Tudor' chimney
stacks.
Wings to rear are of same date, forming an example of "gothic" design.
