Farmhouse with attached barn under one roof dated 1748, now house.
Coursed sandstone rubble with quoins, slate roof with one chimney on
the ridge (originally right gable). Two-bay plan (3rd bay added at
right end not included in the item). Two storeys; single-storey lean-to
porch at right end with rectangular lintel over door in left side, and
slit peephole in front wall; to the left are two 4-light windows with
chamfered mullions and plain hoodmoulds, and at 1st floor three windows with
similar mullions, of three, two, and three lights. Barn continued to left has
outshut to 1st bay with a doorway at the left end, the lintel lettered
JL , and two modern garage doorways in the 2nd bay; left gable wall has
1748
owl hole with perching stone. Rear is mostly altered and has recent
additions in compatible materials and style. Interior of house has
timber-framed partitions.
