Farm

GV II

Farmhouse. C17, with late C18 or early C19 facade. Timber framed,
clad with painted brick. Plain tile roof. Lobby entry plan of 3 timber-
framed bays and stack bay. 2 storeys. Exposed framing with painted
brick infilling to right gable end. Hipped roof with gablets.
Multiflue brick stack to right of centre. Irregular fenestration of
2 windows; one two-light horizontally-sliding sash towards centre
and one small two-pane light towards right end. Ground floor has one
four-pane light towards each end and one two-light horizontally-
sliding sash to left of centre, all with segmental heads. Three-light
casement to first floor and small single-light dairy window towards
rear of ground floor of right gable end. Boarded door with segmental
head under stack. Rear lean-to, with short extension to left with
stack. Interior: stud wall between left-central and left end bays
on each floor. Gunstock-jowled posts. Edge-halved wall-plate scarf
joint. C19 grates.
