Completed 1826. 4 segmental braced iron arches on plain tapering stone piers
with stone abutments, The raising of road level under bridge has largely destroyed
original effect of dramatic view through to Old Town and harbour. The side
walks of bridge have been altered though not effecting original design. 414
ft long. Originally a toll bridge built to give access to original "Spaw"
and its mineral spring.
