A Grade II Listed Building in Wakefield North, Wakefield

St Austin's Presbytery

Uploader's Comments

St Austin's Presbytery, No 6 Wentworth Terrace, a grade II listed building, was formerly 2 town houses. Overcrowing in the church inspired brief plans to build a new St Austin's. However, these plans proved impractical, and instead the two houses to the west of St Austin’s were purchased and converted into the Presbytery between 1868-69. English Heritage Building ID: 447270
