Circa 1840 terrace forming east side of square. 3 storeys painted brick. Moulded
frieze and shallow eaves cornice to gable end slate roof, 1st floor sill course.
2 windows each, recessed sashes, glazing bars intact. No 5 which has tripartite
bow window on ground floor with frieze and cornice. Nos 4, 7 and 8 have 2 storey
pilastered canted wood bays to ground and 1st floors, moulded cornices. No 6
has later Victorian canted ground floor bay window. Doors of 4 moulded panels,
rectangular fanlights in surrounds of stucco panelled strips with moulded console
brackets to projecting cornices. No 8A is a later infilling at north end with
tripartite and single sash to each floor, cut brick eaves cornice. Probably
first part of square to be built.
