Signal box, North Eastern Railway Southern Division Type 4, 1908. Stretcher bond
brick supporting glazed upper storey with wooden boarded gable ends and slate roof.
7 bay basement with 9-pane sashes to railway. Signal box above reached by attached
wooden external staircase to door in gable end. Interior retains lever frame of
120 levers, as originally installed.

railway tracks. Signal Box pre 1923, North Eastern Railway. Stretcher bond brick
supporting glazed upper storey with wooden boarded gable ends and slate roof. 7 bay
basement with 9-pane sashes to railway. Signal box above reached by attached wooden
staircase to door in gable end. Signal gantry of lattice cast iron c 1930 LNER origin.
4 square signal posts and two round, supporting a total of 10 semaphore signals.
