(2) One of the Belvoir Angels headstones. Slate square head, 2 incised angels and text -Come Ye Blessed-. Panel with raised lettering reading -Here lies the Bodys of John and Bennett sons of John and Eliz. Mitchell. John died Oct.6th 1715. Bennett died Mar. 14th 1720-. –Nigh to this stone two babes do lie / Alltho they died in their infancy / Short was their race, long is their rest / God takes his choice, leaves not the best-. Biblical text below –For of such is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19v11-. (Photo Nov 2012).
