Part of a C15 Wealden house. Tile north end missing and an C18 bay added which
is No 3. 2 storeys. No 3 painted brick front, hipped tiled roof. No 5 2 windows.
Steeply pitched tiled roof with hipped gable at right. Tile hung 1st floor.
Visible timber framing with brick filling on ground floor. 1st floor overhanging
on curved brackets. Parallel gable-ended ground floor projection with shop
window. (Not now used as shop). C19 and modern casement windows. Right return
shows timber framing with plaster filling and a long C17 extension of one storey
and dormers. Inside much exposed timber and a Tudor stone fireplace on ground
floor.


Nos 1 to 17 (odd) form a group with No 103 Main Road
