3/327 Old Wyatts

GV II

House, C17 or earlier, rubble stone with thatched roof, half-hipped
to west and ridge stack. 1 1/2 storeys. Leaded windows throughout.
South front has 3-light ovolo-moulded mullion window each floor to
left, lower window with hood mould, upper window in square dormer
gable. Small leaded window to ground floor right, then 2-light
beaded mullion window with triple casement in eyebrow above. Door
to right and then C20 projection with 3-light window and roof
carried down over. West end has 3-light ovolo-moulded window each
floor and north return has similar ground floor 2-light and C20
matching 2-light above in square dormer gable. A rubble stone rear
wing has north end stack and casement windows, eyebrow dormer on
east side. East end has tiled outbuilding added.
Interior not inspected. The house of the Wyatt family C18 and C19,
possibly that of T. Wyatt, weaver, mentioned in 1599.
