C16 with modern additions. West, entrance front of 2 storeys, 3 windows. High
pitched, tiled roof, half hipped at right, with cruciform off-centre chimney.
New cross-wing added at left as an exact facsimile, with projecting, half-hipped
gabled end. 1st floor tile hung, ground floor, brick, over timber framed structure.
Plinth of galletted ragstone rubble. Stepped brick plinth coping covered by
sloping tiles, rendered in places. Modern pent porch of re-used old materials.
2- and 3-light renewed wood casements with glazing bars. On South and East
walls visible timber framing, some close studded, some square, with varied brick
filling. 1-storey, glazed sun-lounge added at back. Inside much exposed timber,
including heavy posts and tie beams; also some old brick fireplaces rather restored.
Much restoration of downstairs woodwork; and linenfold and other panelling imported
from elsewhere.
