Water siphon and overflow sump. Early-mid C19. Stone construction with large gritstone
blocks and metal cover and grate. Raised circle of large roughly dressed stone blocks has
inner circle with circular cover as metal cob-web. This is over a deep stone lined circular
shaft fed by water on the north side with a grate over the entrance to prevent debris from
the stream falling into the shaft. At the south-east corner of a former reservoir now
reduced to a stream. An impressive and unusual mill ancilliary building.
