Milepost. Dated 1833. Cast iron. Circular post with ogee-domed top and curved plate reading `NORTHWICH 1 MILE. MIDDLEWICH 5 MILES. SANDBACH 10.' At the base of the post is a raised oval plaque with the date of 1833 to the centre and the name 'LEFTWICH' above, and the initials `W.E.M.' below the date.
