Villa. c1831-48. By RW and C Jearrad. Stucco over brick with
hipped slate roof, stucco end stacks with cornices and iron
and glass porch.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 2 first-floor windows, entrance at side
and range to rear. Main (garden) facade): 2 full-height canted
bays with 1/1 sashes throughout, those to ground floor are
taller and have cornices on consoles, those to first floor
have sills on feet with anthemion motif. Entrance to right
return: double part-glazed doors with overlight with
decorative glazing, in porch with iron pilasters and domed
roof.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Part of the former Lansdowne Estate, a notable example of
suburban town planning.
