Row of 3 houses. Probably of C18 origin, refronted early C19.
Coursed, dressed sandstone facade, limestone rubble elsewhere;
Welsh slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys (with attic at right end provided by
failing ground); one window to each house on each floor; short
wing to rear right. Left end bonds with Church Cottage (qv);
large quoins to right. Openings with flush ashlar surrounds;
projecting stone sills; various 6-panel doors. Imsworth
Cottage: door to right of 8/8 sash beneath altered 8/8 sash
(now 8/1 panes).
Gritston Cottage is similar but opposite handed; ground-floor
window sill lowered; 2/2 sashes. Wainstones: door to left of
C20 casements on ground and first floors; 6-pane attic window
set beneath eaves. Brick end stack on right and ridge stack to
left of Wainstones. Irregular rear elevations.
