House. Early C18, extended one bay to north mid C18, and given
an early C19 front extension. Altered C20. Rendered brick.
Pantile and slate roofs. 2 storeys; 3-window range. 2-storey
front extension has a C20 shop front and 3 late C20
first-floor windows. Parapet conceals sloping slate roof.
Shaped gable to south with a stack. Rear elevations with a C20
ground-floor extension and two C20 first-floor casements
flanking a doorway. Gabled roof in 2 pitches, the lower north
pitch representing the C18 extension. Former internal
gable-end stack to taller section.
INTERIOR: ground floor opened out into a single trading area.
One chamfered bridging beam with tongue stops carried on an
iron post, the post installed when front extension added.
Cellar with 2 chamfered bridging beams. Winder staircase to
attic with a ship's mast reused as a newel post. Roof of
principals, butt purlins and collars.
