GV II

Farmhouse and attached barn. Early C18, with mid C20
alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings
and C20 plain tile roof with 3 brick gable stacks. 2 storeys
plus garrets; 3 bays. Central doorway with original 6-panel
part glazed door, with ashlar hood supported on brackets and
enclosed by mid C20 glazed porch. On each side, a C20 3-light
casement with rubble stone wedge lintel. Above, 2 similar
windows. Small garret window in right gable.
Barn, to right, has a central stable door with rubble stone
wedge lintel. Right gable end has a small fixed light flanked
by stable doors with wooden lintels. Above, a pair of stone
flight ledges and between them, a 3-light window and a wooden
panel with 2 pigeon openings.
INTERIOR: the house retains chamfered beams with label stops
and original staircase and panelled doors. Barn retains a
queen post roof and stud partitions.
